Mayor Tomas Osmena said that they will give P10, 000 each student who are a graduates from the public schools.
They will not give the money to the students but instead give it directly to the schools or universities they intend to pursue their tertiary education.
Students who want to enroll in University of Cebu (UC) and Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) along with the private schools can also avail the cebu city’s school assistance.
Only UC and CIT have decided to sign an contract with the City.
To those students who came from the mountain barangays will receive and additional P10, 00 for their board and rooms.
The Cebu City Mayor also included that to those who want to take technical skills training at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or to those who want to join the Philippine Marines can also benefit the support.
This is a good news for the Cebuanos who dreamed to succeed in their chosen career by not quitting to study in college.
Those Support aimed to help them of not becoming an ordinary salesladies in the department stores/malls perpetually but giving them an opportunity to work in a corporate world.
